Week 5 - Jerry Mai, Pho Nom
Jerry is a Vietnamese-Australian chef renowned for bringing authentic Vietnamese flavours to Melbourne's dining scene. She has built a culinary career that celebrates her heritage, combining Vietnamese, Thai, and Cambodian influences. After training in some of Melbourne’s top Asian-accented restaurants, she further honed her skills at prestigious international establishments. Her cooking reflects her family’s journey and culture, focusing on a "paddock-to-plate" ethos that emphasises fresh, local ingredients.
Jerry is a culinary leader known for her no-fuss approach and passion for authentic, vibrant cuisine and is the founder of the quick-service Vietnamese restaurant Pho Nom. Her three gelato flavours are inspired by her childhood memories, showcasing her love for playful, bold flavours with a savoury twist.
